DragonBallZ Review: Chapter 2 The Longest Year
Immediately after the fight with Raditz, Piccolo kidnapped Gohan for special martial arts training. Because Piccolo saw how great Gohan's power was, he knew he had to harness it. So he took Gohan away for training. He only had a year to get him ready before the Saiyans arrived. But first Piccolo had to discipline the boy by putting him through survival training. Piccolo left Gohan alone in the wilderness while Piccolo went off to train by himself.
Meanwhile the news spread about Goku's demise. So all of the DragonballZ warriors were to report for special training on Kami's Look Out Tower. They only had one year to get stronger than the alien Saiyans headed for Earth!
Then, Goku, who sacrificed himself to defeat Raditz found himself,....................IN THE AFTERLIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Goku had special permission from King Yema (the judge of who decides who goes to heaven and who goes to heck) to go on Snake Way to find a famous dead martial art teacher who could teach him how to defeat the Saiyans on their way to Earth. However, the afterlife is a very big place! And Goku only has a year to go down Snake Way (a huge road in the afterlife) and find the great martial arts teacher, King Kai! After the training Goku plans to go back to Earth by his friends using the Dragonballs wishing him back to life.
Many months passed and the Earth's fighters have been getting stronger and stronger. But it's still NOT STRONG ENOUGH! After a half-a year of survival training, Gohan has matured and is ready for the REAL fighting training. Piccolo then teaches Gohan how to: fly, fire fireballs, punch faster, how to dodge, how to think in battle, how to power up, how to concentrate, and finally how to do a final blow!
After 9 months or running non-stop down Snake Way (in the afterlife) Goku STILL hasn't found King Kai! The afterlife is a REALLY big place! For 9 months Goku has been running down this thing and frankly he should be quite exhausted! He still couldn't find him until.....................he saw a small planet no bigger than a school within the realm of the afterlife. Goku hopped on to the planet then...............CRASH! The planet had 10X's more gravity than it had on Earth!!! Goku finally found the famous martial arts teacher, KING KAI! And what does this ultimate ninja teacher have to say?
"My Uncle is so fat, that when he sits around the house, he really sits around the house!"
"Knock Knock, Who's there? Ach. Achwho? Kazuntight!"
"What do you call a deadly breakfast?"
"A Cereal Killer!"
"Pull my finger!"
King Kai the ultimate martial arts teacher is really.......................DragonBallZ's comic relief!!!

Even though King Kai may be there for DBZ comedy. He still does his job. Over the next remaining 3 months King Kai teaches Goku some moves that nobody could ever dream of! And because his planet has 10X's more gravity than the Earth's that's even better exercise! Just lifting a finger is good exercise! And the Saiyans trained the same way, by exercising and training on planets with high gravity.

Goku finally had completed his training. He learned: how to get his body used to intense gravity, learn how to use the Keo Ken technique, use the Spirit Bomb, and other tasks. Goku had finally mastered all of these objectives and was now 10X's more powerful because he trained on a planet with 10X's more gravity. 1 strength increase per gravity number. But once Goku had mastered all of these things...........it............was time........1 YEAR WAS UP! THE 2 SAIYANS 10X'S STRONGER THAN RADITZ HAD ARRIVED ON EARTH!!!
